These are the sights and sounds of “Autumn Along the Bighorns”. The low-lying agricultural lands are home to the Ring-neck and Wild Turkey. Brushy draws and ravines are home to Sharp-tailed Grouse. Rocky hills and ledges are home to Chukar; and the brushy, rolling hills are home to Hungarian Partridge. All this combined with the migration of Water-Fowl and Mourning Dove offers the unique situation known as “Mixed Bag”.

We hunt anywhere from two to five species per day: depending on weather, seasons, and conditions. We use strong, Labradors in all Water Fowl and dense cover Pheasant Hunting. We use English, Elhew, and German Pointers in all open field conditions; allowing hunters to shoot over some great flushing and retrieving dogs and some staunch pointing dogs in a single day.

RETAIL SALES: For any of your equipment needs; our retail store is well stocked with the Orvis clothing and equipment line and other items. When booking your trip; please advise if you will be needing equipment. We will ship it to you and pay the shipping for you: allowing you to organize ahead.

BOOKINGS: 1/3 down to confirm reservations. Non-refundable but may be rescheduled with fifteen days notice. We accept personal check, American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa.

HALF DAY BIRD HUNTS: $225 per gun. For groups of 3 to 6 hunters. Includes guides, dogs, field transportation, release of 4 roosters and 4 chukar per gun, and all access fees. Does not include bird processing or gratuities. Pheasants are usually hunted over flushing dogs and Chukar over pointing dogs for a greater variety. Hunts are approximately four hours.

DAILY SHOOTING: $395 per gun. Includes guides, dogs, lunch, field transportation, ammunition and shotgun use if needed, instruction if needed, soft drinks, and bird processing. Does not include gratuities and alcoholic beverages.

3 DAY 4 NIGHT PACKAGES AT FOLDED HILLS RANCH: Includes guides, dogs, dining, lodging, ammunition and shotgun use if needed, instruction if needed, field transportation, and bird processing. Does not include alcoholic beverages and gratuities.
$2495 PER GUN NON-HUNTING COMPANION $250 PER DAY

CAST & BLAST: If you should choose to mix some fall fishing in with bird hunting, it is included with the hunting package.

NOTE: If you were born after 12/31/65 you must have a hunter’s safety certificate to purchase a bird license. As you probably know; you can carry your shot gun in airline luggage. Ammunition or anything with an ignition source, however; is not allowed. We provide Baschieri & Pellagri field loads and Federal Steel in all hunting. If you have an alternative preference in ammunition such as your own hand loads, you should ship it to us via ground transportation to hold for you. Our shipping address is 227 N. Main

These prices are effective from Oct. 1 through Dec. 18. After Dec. 18 hunting quality begins to drop. Call us at 800-253-5866 for a price quote fairly based on what we feel the quality of the hunting is. Our last shooting day of the season will be Feb. 16 of 2006.

**NOTE: We have had problems in the past with dogs that we are not familiar with and have had to adopt the following policy. If you have a group of three to six and want to bring your dogs, they will be welcome. We can no longer allow unknown dogs with mixed groups due to the problems we have experienced. The only exception is if we have seen your dog hunt and approve of it. We have some great bird dogs, and use mostly Labs for waterfowl and dense cover pheasant hunting. We use English and Elhew pointers in the open field.
